Spread a Smile families have a wonderful time at Lawsons Family Fun Day
The sun shone for Spread a Smile families at the Lawsons Family Fun Day held at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire on Sunday, 3 rd July 2016. Spread a Smile’s entertainers were also there to make the day a great success.
Seven families from Great Ormond Street Hospital and UCH were invited to the Fun Day, organised principally for the 1,100 employees and their families of our charity partner, Lawsons, the largest independent timber, building and fencing suppliers in London and the South East.
Thank you to our entertainers, Collette Spinner who compered the whole day, face painters Marina Constantinou and Emma Antoniou, magician Martin Rees, Fairy Felicity, Fairy Jessica Ellerby and not forgetting the unique Judge the Poet.
Activities included bouncy inflatables, archery, Segways, quad bikes, hovercrafts, a Ferris wheel, mini-fairground rides along with food, which included a barbecue and delicious ice-cream. Families were also able to visit the 500 year old house as well as the beautiful gardens.
Louise Walker, grandmother of Jessica, Taylor and Mia, who all came to the event commented, ‘You have helped to make many treasured memories for these children. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.’
Lawsons also held a raffle the entire proceeds of which will go to Spread a Smile.
A huge thank you to Lawsons for the amazing hospitality you showed our families and the ongoing
support you are showing Spread a Smile.
I can't really explain just what a great charity it is and we as a family are grateful that you Let us make special memories. I wish we had known about you when my brother was alive. Please tell everyone.xxx
